A White Walker, also known as the Others, is a supernatural humanoid creature featured in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, adapted from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series.
They are ancient beings of ice and death who reside in the northernmost regions of Westeros, beyond the Wall. White Walkers are characterized by their pale skin, piercing blue eyes, and the ability to reanimate the dead into wights to serve as their army.
The first glimpse of the White Walkers is in the opening scene of the series premiere, "Winter Is Coming." They pose a significant threat to the living, as they bring about an endless winter and seek to eradicate all life. Their primary weakness is dragonglass (obsidian) and Valyrian steel.
The White Walkers are led by the Night King, although this character does not exist in the books.
